You may be wondering who is behind the site and what makes us so passionate about organic products.

The website was the brainchild of Mark Diesvelt and Gary King.

Mark Diesvelt
Mark trained and worked as a chef, specialising in providing catering services to customers with specific dietary needs and restrictions. He founded and managed Healthy Homes, working with people who wanted to avoid chemically toxic construction practises and interior finishes.

His ongoing interest in organic foods lead Mark to form Innoventure Consultants where he works with businesses in the organic and functional food sector, specifically on organic certification.

Gary King
Gary is an organic farmer and an expert in the field of organic food products. He has extensive experience in the science and practice of growing organic crops. His passion for producing the best in organic food lead him to team up with Mark to provide a forum for like-minded organic business people.

Matt Low
Matt is a law student with a passion for the local organic lifestyle. His passion stems from a 2003/04 break from the study of law to pursue a professional culinary diploma at Northwest Culinary Academy of Vancouver and to apprentice with Gary King of Hazelmere Organic Farm. As the General Manager of Organics for B.C., Matt looks forward to working with Mark and Gary in promoting a more sustainable British Columbia.
